For the third year as a Coachella sponsor, Marriott wanted to create a hospitality lounge that personified the brand’s worldwide presence, all in a 40’x40’ tent. As creative lead, I was tasked with creating an inviting, engaging space where attendees could come in from the heat and experience a few of Marriott’s properties. Guests could enjoy a variety of flavorful popsicles in a Wes Anderson-inspired hotel lobby, get a personalized coffee ground reading in the Moroccan bar, have a relaxing massage in the winter chalet, and use points to reserve a private South Pacific bungalow with a butler to handle any needs that might arise. And for a lucky few, Billie Eilish stopped by to show guests how to make her vegan peanut butter cookies.
